LOS ANGELES COUNTY (January 24, 2024)– The Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) – supporting pro-environment candidates throughout Los Angeles County –  announced its endorsement of Adrin Nazarian to represent the Los Angeles City Council District 2 in the upcoming March 5 election.

“Adrin Nazarian will serve the City of Los Angeles Council District 2 well, by championing a greener Los Angeles,” said LALCV Endorsement Chair, Kirsten James.  “Drawing from his experience with environmental issues at the state legislature, Nazarian has the know-how to help tackle the City’s immense environmental challenges.”

“I’m proud to receive the LALCV endorsement, as this is a testament to my unwavering dedication to environmental causes,” said Adrin Nazarian. “I have a proven track record of delivering impactful results for the environment. My passion has driven my work supporting a variety of environmental issues, including around advancement of renewable energy, carbon emissions reduction, and natural resource preservation. From advocating for plant-based school meals to leading the charge on anti-fracking bills, my commitment goes beyond words to actions.”

Being the second most populous city in the nation, Los Angeles faces numerous environmental challenges from air and water pollution to waste management. Nazarian plans to use his seat on Council to address climate change, including by advancing the implementation of LA100 recommendations and enhancing public transportation. He also hopes to help safeguard local water supplies through efforts such as enhanced water recycling and strengthening the Bureau of Sanitation’s capacity to manage single-family home waste.
